Steward's Report
Atarah was slow to begin.
Billy Moran checked off Serendipity Gold approaching the first turn. Gotham Queen faltered on the first turn, lost considerable ground and tailed off. Midnight Train and Serendipity Gold collided on the first turn, checking Serendipity Gold. Aston Valetta checked off Wharfies Girl approaching the home turn. Atarah checked off Serendipity Gold in the home straight.
Gotham Queen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left hindleg back muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr S Lithgow indicated it was his intention to retire Gotham Queen.
A post-race sample was taken from Midnight Titan - the winner of the event.
