Steward's Report
Smooth Roster was a late scratching at 2.06pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to illness. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Black Torino - New declared weight of 34.6kgs
A pre-race sample was taken from Soda Witch.
Cool Titanium and Refueled were quick to begin. Tex Ribs and Black Torino were slow to begin.
Black Torino and Tex Ribs collided soon after the start. Refueled stumbled approaching the first turn and lost ground as a result. Soda Witch checked off Crackerjack Tys approaching the home turn checking Black Torino. Soda Witch checked off Crackerjack Tys in the home straight.
Refueled underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 12. Refueled was found to have a right quadriceps muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards deemed the performance of Refueled entering the home straight unsatisfactory in this event and pursuant to GAR 71, Refueled must perform a satisfactory trial before any future nomination is accepted.
