Mr. Bewley stated Dirty Stella has been racing over the shorter distances and that the greyhound has a minimal preparation between race starts. Stewards noted Mr. Bewley's comments.

Dirty Stella and Why Not Macca collided soon after the start checking Why Not Macca. Alina Grand checked off Blackpool Funk on the first turn checking Calcaneal and Stavros. Run Maggie Run checked off Stavros approaching the home turn. Dirty Stella and Calcaneal collided entering the home straight checking Calcaneal.
