A pre-race sample was taken from Gazza's Pick.
Gazza's Pick went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Ace's Fab and Saintly Rose were slow to begin. Saintly Rose and Gypsy Shane collided soon after the start. Ace's Fab, Saintly Rose and Gypsy Shane collided approaching the first turn, checking Saintly Rose. Ace's Fab and Gazza's Pick collided on the first turn, checking Gazza's Pick. Come On Eleanor and Hardaway George collided on the home turn. Saintly Rose raced wide entering the home straight and again in the home straight.
Saintly Rose underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
