A pre-race sample was taken from Still Single.
Still Single and Crackerjack Gas collided soon after the start checking Still Single. Nimble Nala and Crackerjack Gas collided approaching the first turn checking Still Single, Crackerjack Gas and Nimble Nala. Bets And Beers and Nimble Nala collided on the home turn. Aston Tyki raced wide entering the home straight. Ragged Warrior and Still Single collided in the home straight.
Boston Flame underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 9. Boston Flame was found to have right shin soreness. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
