Vandebay was slow to begin.
Backin' Bully and Rapana collided soon after the start severely checking Backin' Bully. Iceni Skye and Cersei collided soon after the start. Iceni Skye and Cersei collided at the 250m mark checking Iceni Skye. Rapana and Cersei collided approaching the 100m mark checking Rapana. Backin' Bully and Rapana collided at the 100m mark checking Backin' Bully. Iceni Skye eased approaching the 50m mark. Backin' Bully and Cersei collided approaching the winning post checking Backin' Bully.
Iceni Skye underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms S. Gray the representative of Iceni Skye, regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 50m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Iceni Skye was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Gray pleaded guilty to the charge, Iceni Skye must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Mr T. Interligi failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Miss Walt for racing. Mr Interligi was reminded of his responsibilities pursuant to GAR 46(2)
