Steward's Report

Miss Travers was quick to begin. Psychedelic Jay was slow to begin.

Loroupe and Game Spirit collided soon after the start. Facts Don't Lie, Kentucky Sun and Miss Travers collided approaching the first turn. Game Spirit checked off Loroupe approaching the first turn. Game Spirit checked off Leeroy Rox on the first turn. Facts Don't Lie and Miss Travers collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn checking Facts Don't Lie. Game Spirit raced wide entering the home straight. Miss Travers marred the running of Kentucky Sun approaching the winning post.

Leeroy Rox underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the Trainer's request and was found to have a split webbing on left foreleg. A 14 stand down period was imposed.

Miss Travers underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid muscle injury. A 10 stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Austin, the trainer of Miss Travers regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Miss Travers was charged with marring. Mr Austin pleaded guilty to the charge, Miss Travers is suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
