Steward's Report
Marko Bale was quick to begin. Diesel Turbo was very slow to begin - 3 lengths.
Marko Bale, Zipping Simon, Swift Abbey, Diesel Turbo and Madam Kinloch collided approaching the first turn checking Marko Bale, Swift Abbey and Diesel Turbo. Marko bale contacted the running rail on the first turn. Easy Tash visibly eased on the second turn.
Marko Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left hind foot. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Easy Tash underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right hip injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr B. Stockdale trainer, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the second turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Easy Tash was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Stockdale pleaded guilty to the charge, Easy Tash must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Charlie Haze - the winner of the event.
