Steward's Report

All For Now, Carrow Road, Waverly Bale and Smashing Banjo were slow to begin.

Sam's Spolly and Two Anns collided soon after the start. Angus turned his head and visibly eased approaching the first turn. Two Anns checked off Smashing Banjo on the first turn severely checking Two Anns. Angus turned his head on the home turn and visibly eased. Sam's Spolly raced wide in the home straight.

Two Anns underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Angus underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the right medial palmar. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr T. Whitford, the trainer of Angus regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Angus was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Whitford pleaded guilty to the charge, Angus is suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from All For Now - the winner of the event.
