Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Scartnamuck Diva.
Superior Kris was slow to begin.
Scarnamuck Diva visibly eased approaching the first turn. Acer and Pandora's Glory collided on the first turn checking Acer and Campbell Rose severely checking Pandora's Glory. Inter Rose and Scartnamuck Diva collided on the first turn. Spark Joy and Scartnamuck Diva collided on the home turn and again in the home straight. Scartnamuck Diva, Spark Joy and Superior Kris collided approaching the winning post checking Spark Joy.
Scartnamuck Diva underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Trainer, Mr P. Ellul declined to have the dog re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr P. Ellul, the trainer of Scartnamuck Diva regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Scartnamuck Diva was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Ellul pleaded guilty to the charge, Scartnamuck Diva is suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
