Saint David, Callister, Barry Bomber and Poise were quick to begin and collided soon after the start, checking Barry bomber, Flying Danger and Connor Allen. Saint David, Callister and Poise collided on the first turn, checking Saint David and Callister. Fess Crocket and Zanzeedoo collided entering the back straight, checking Fess Crocket. Flying Danger, Barry Bomber and Connor Allen collided on the second turn, checking Barry Bomber and Connor Allen. Saint David and Flying Danger collided approaching the home turn, checking Flying Danger. Zanzeedoo checked off Saint David entering the home straight.
After an incident in the catching pen, Callister underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.
