Steward's Report
Our Ellie Rose and Sunita Lass were slow to begin. Shining and Midnight Marzy collided soon after the start. Shining turned his head and failed to pursue the lure with due commitment soon after the start. Shining, Midnight Marzy and Our Ellie Rose collided on the first turn. Spin The Trolley checked off Midnight Marzy in the back straight. Spin The Trolley checked off Our Ellie Rose on the third turn.
Shining underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right carpal sprain injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to the trainer Mr. V. Tullio, regarding the greyhound's racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1). Shining was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment throughout the event (by reason of injury). Mr. Tullio pleaded guilty to the charge, Shining must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
