During kennelling Stewards conducted a carpark check on all greyhound transportation vehicles at today’s meeting. Stewards were satisfied that all Trainers had adhered to the hot weather transport policy.
Stewards spoke to Robert Hayes, the trainer of Barnhurst regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Barnhurst last raced on 05/07/18. Robert Hayes stated that the greyhound was resuming racing due to change of kennels and a spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Barnhurst trialled over the 390m from box 1, weight 26.2, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 6. The time of the trial was 22.35, the greyhound won by a margin of 1.75 lengths. Barnhurst was Cleared.
Stewards spoke to Thordes Pakusch, the trainer of Buckle Up Eve regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Buckle Up Eve last raced on 27.1.
