Quick Blaze and Mum's The Word collided approaching the first turn checking Quick Blaze. Badelaide Road and Double Birdy collided on the first turn checking Double Birdy. Double Birdy galloped on the heels of Blue Cigar checking Cool Flow, severely checking Double Birdy, Quick Blaze, Mum's The Word, Blue Cigar and Chill Out Indy causing Double Birdy, Quick Blaze, Mum's The Word, Blue Cigar and Chill Out Indy to fall as a result.
Double Birdy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a very mild abrasion on the left tibia. No stand down period was imposed.
Quick Blaze underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.
