A pre race sample was taken from Aston Shakira.
Kurri Kurri was quick to begin. Aston Shakira was slow to begin.
Wok Djay checked off Blue Gene Bowie soon after the start. Blue Gene Bowie, Kurri Kurri, All Revved Up,Bombardier King and Galloping Nikki collided on the first turn checking Kurri Kurri, Galloping Nikki and Maramba and severely checking Blue Gene Bowie and Bombardier King. Blue Gene Bowie raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight causing the greyhound to lose ground. Bombardier King raced wide in the home straight.
Blue Gene Bowie was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
