Spring Kissed was slow to begin.
Trew Danger and Moondust collided soon after the start checking Moondust. Trew Danger, Broken Pieces, Black Torino and Sirius Matters collided approaching the first turn checking Broken Pieces and Black Torino. Dee Jakit crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Dee Jakit and severely checking Black Torino which fell as a result.
Black Torino was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the thoraco-lumbar, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
