Steward's Report
Suspicious Lee was a late scratching at 11.40am by Stewards, acting on a confirmed phone call from Mr. M. Lloyd, representing trainer Mr. J. Frewin, stating that Suspicious Lee had not been loaded in the trailer due to having diarrhoea. When representative Mr. K. Lloyd arrived on course, Stewards opened an inquiry due to concerns with the timing of the scratching and advised him that Stewards required a veterinary certificate for Suspicious Lee within 24 hours to verify the circumstances of the scratching. Mr. K. Lloyd requested that Suspicious Lee be examined on course due to the difficulty of obtaining an appointment with a local veterinary surgeon. Stewards acceded to this request and Suspicious Lee was subsequently examined outside the kennel block by the on-course veterinarian who confirmed the reason for scratching. Suspicioue Lee was stood for ten days.
Fiery Universe checked off Calabrese Bullet collided soon after the start. Blue Magnum, Miss Travers and Calabrese Bullet collided approaching the first turn checking Blue Magnum. Fiery Universe and Dyna Diedre collided on the first turn checking Fiery Universe. Blue Magnum, Miss Travers and Calabrese Bullet collided approaching the home turn checking Blue Magnum and Miss Travers. Miss Travers and Barked Off collided approaching the winning post.
