The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Lilty Allen and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 11.28am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer J. Forthergill was fined the sum of $100.

Challis Sprite and Seeka Moment were slow to begin.
Winlock Slim, Bolare and Deep Creek Girl collided approaching the first turn checking Bolare. Loroupe lost ground on the first turn. Challis Sprite and Crackerjack Des collided approaching the home turn checking Crackerjack Des.
Loroupe was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle and a left quadriceps injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
