Zig Zagger was a late scratching at 17.44pm after the trainer Mr O. Mcgovern contacted the Stewards and advised he had broken down on route to the track.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed on the greyhound, this may be lifted and the $100 fine not issued if Mr. Mcgovern provides Stewards with the appropriate evidence of the break down within 48 hours.

Aston Samson and Smurf were quick to begin.

Busy Bella and Smurf collided approaching the first turn checking Busy Bella. Dewana Rocket and Super Rage collided on the first turn checking Super Rage and Shargre. Aston Samson and Smurf collided on the home turn. Busy Bella galloped on the heels of Smurf on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Shargre checked off Busy Bella entering the home straight and raced wide in the home straight.

Super Rage was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left triangle muscle and shin soreness, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Ms J. Risk, the trainer of Trixie's Rocket regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Trixie's Rocket last raced on 17th July 2018. Ms Risk stated that the greyhound had a change in kennel.

Ultimate Amadeus and No Sugar were quick to begin.

Amanda Lee and Butter Chicken were slow to begin.

Shotgun Shiloh checked off Ultimate Amadeus approaching the first turn. Ultimate Amadeus, No Sugar and Trixie's Rocket collided on the first turn severely checking Lightning Seven and No Sugar which fell as a result.

No Sugar was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right medial stifle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Sole Elusion and Volcanic Winter were slow to begin.

Aston Veloci and Miss Luna Girl collided soon after the start. Harper's Hand and Miss Luna Girl collided on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds and Sole Elusion was checked as a result. Volcanic Winter checked off Water Pistol on the first turn. Aston Veloci and Aston Halle collided entering the home straight.

KeyBey was quick to begin.

Riclesky was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained sprains to both hocks, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Boone and Black Beauty collided soon after the start. Rapanui Surprise and Boone collided in the back straight checking Rapanui Surprise.

Empress Rose and In Orbit were quick to begin.

In Orbit was vetted and after being re-vetted following Race 10, it was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist sprain and an injured left triangle muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards issued a warning to Mr G. Brown, the trainer of In Orbit regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Oriental Tarj and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 18.11pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr I. Anderson was fined the sum of $100.
