Steward's Report
Zig Zagger was a late scratching at 17.44pm after the trainer Mr O. Mcgovern contacted the Stewards and advised he had broken down on route to the track. A 28 day stand down period was imposed on the greyhound, this may be lifted and the $100 fine not issued if Mr. Mcgovern provides Stewards with the appropriate evidence of the break down within 48 hours.
Aston Samson and Smurf were quick to begin.
Super Rage was slow to begin.
Busy Bella and Smurf collided approaching the first turn checking Busy Bella. Dewana Rocket and Super Rage collided on the first turn checking Super Rage and Shargre. Aston Samson and Smurf collided on the home turn. Busy Bella galloped on the heels of Smurf on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Shargre checked off Busy Bella entering the home straight and raced wide in the home straight.
Super Rage was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left triangle muscle and shin soreness, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
