A pre-race sample was taken from Mac's Mayhem.
Miss Winks was quick to begin. Zipping Cisco was slow to begin.
Cash No Bounce and Bad Words collided approaching the first turn checking Bad Words. Miss Winks crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Mac's Mayhem, Zipping Chance, My Raphael and Zipping Cisco. My Raphael checked off Bad Words on the first turn. My Raphael contacted the running rail approaching the home turn. Greg's Choice crossed to the outside on the home turn checking Zipping Chance, Mac's Mayhem and Bad Words. Miss Winks and Cash No Bounce collided in the home straight. Miss Winks failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight, and collided with Cash No Bounce, causing Miss Winks to become unbalanced..

Miss Winks was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left deltoid and right quadriceps, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
My Raphael was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abdominal muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr I Chircop the representative of the greyhound Miss Winks regarding the greyhounds racing manners in home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Miss Winks with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Chircop pleaded not guilty to the charge, Miss Winks was found guilty and suspended for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
