Steward's Report
Ugo Girl, Miss Brew, Mayhem Storm were quick to begin. Noonbarra Jack, Banknote were slow to begin.
Barooga Mac, Our Airman collided approaching the first turn checking Barooga Mac. Mayhem Storm eased approaching the home turn. Ugo Girl, Banknote collided entering the home straight. Miss Brew, Our Airman raced wide in the home straight.
Mayhem Storm was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a injury to the left quadriceps, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Miss Brew - the winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Ms Coleman the handler of the greyhound Mayhem Storm regarding the greyhounds racing manners on home turn. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Mayhem Storm with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Coleman pleaded guilty to the charge, Mayhem Storm was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
