Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mrs. S. Taylor, the trainer of Raging Inferno regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Raging Inferno last raced on the 5th of October, 2018. Mrs. Taylor stated that Raging Inferno is returning to racing from a right achilles injury.
Prior to this event the outside temperature was 34.2 degrees, the kennel temperature 22.1 degrees, and the kennel humidity was 60.2%.
Mr Treherne, trainer of Tuscan Dream declared a new weight of 28.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Tuscan Dream last raced at 27.4kgs.
A pre race sample was taken from Pyrenees Acclaim.
Tuscan Dream and Suspicious Lee were quick to begin. Tuscan Dream, Suspicious Lee and Pyrenees Acclaim collided on the first turn checking Raging Inferno and Gold Attraction and severely checking Latissimus Dorsi and Suspicious Lee fell as a result. Pyrenees Classic checked off Loroupe on the home turn. Pyrenees Classic raced wide in the home straight.
Suspicious Lee was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a injury to the left monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
