Ms. T. Kennedy-Harris the representative for Double The Power declared a new weight of 34.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Double The Power last raced at 32.5kg.

Zipping Lucky was quick to begin.  Hurricane Cindy and Hurricane Blake were slow to begin.  Blue Suede Shoes and Vineyard collided soon after the start.  Double The Power and Prince Ferno collided soon after the start checking Double The Power which stumbled and lost ground.  Zipping Lucky and Vineyard collided on the first turn checking Vineyard.

Double The Power was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Rare Gem and no illness was detected.  The greyhound was a late scratching at 3.45pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. K. Brew was fined the sum of $100.

Chilling Story was a late scratching at 3.20pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Ms. T. Womann was fined the sum of $100.

Love To Dream and Violets Are Red were quick to begin.  Dr. Noely lost ground soon after the start and tailed off.  Love To Dream faltered approaching the first turn, lost ground and tailed off.  Gypsy Kiowa was checked off Hurricane Craig entering the home straight.  Hurricane Craig and Gypsy Kiowa collided in the home straight.

Love To Dream was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right back muscle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Dr. Noely was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.  Representative Mr. A. Simmons declined his option to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Simmons the representative for the greyhound Dr. Noley.  Stewards deemed the performance of Dr. Noely unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71 Stewards directed that Dr. Noely must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ms. T. Womann the trainer of Miss Dangerwood declared a new weight of 26.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Miss Dangerwood last raced at 24.7kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Wolfie's Squeeze.

Dyna Jules and Jamie Marie collided soon after the start.  Wolfie's Squeeze and Hip Hippy Shake collided on the first turn severely checking Hip hippy Shake and checking Jamie Marie.  Wolfie's Squeeze and Quara's Beth collided entering the home straight severely checking Wolfie's Squeeze.  Mel's Footsteps, Miss Dangerwood and Hurricane Billie collided in the home straight checking Miss Dangerwood.

Layback Cruiser was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have a heart murmur, no stand down period was imposed.

Daintree Dynamo was a late scratching at 11:42am due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Quara's Flick, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Belisarius was slow to begin.  Quara's Flick crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Vanishka.  Architecture and Mayhem Breeze collided on the first turn checking Architecture.  Temujin and Belisarius collided approaching the home turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Need A Zac upon arrival on course, prior to kennelling.

Lightning Lil and Dr. Marshmellow were slow to begin.  Ann Cherie was checked off Banjo Sally soon after the start.  Need A Zac and Ann Cherie collided approaching the first turn.  Maybe Hannibal and Just Jimmy collided on the first turn checking Maybe Hannibal.

Maybe Hannibal was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 11, it was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R Colpoys the trainer of Maybe Hannibal and requested he advise Stewards as soon as practicable of anything that may have effected the running of the greyhound in this event in accordance with GAR 75.

Swift Mandy and Mac Daddy were quick to begin.  Galloping Bluboy and Volcanic Winter were slow to begin.  Lucky Gypsy and Galloping Bluboy collided approaching the first turn checking Galloping Bluboy.  Keen Gem and Aston Narita collided approaching the first turn checking Keen Gem.  Lucky Gypsy and Aston Narita collided approaching the home turn checking Aston Narita.

All About Arby was a late scratching at 1:39pm due to injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Disco Lemonade was quick to begin.  Dr. Toretto and Disco Lemonade collided soon after the start.  Midnight Muscat, Jonny Bravo, Teflon Travis and Supa Shalala collided on the first trun checking Jonny Bravo, Teflon Travis and Supa Shalala.  Midnight Muscat and Dr. Toretto collided on the first turn checking Dr. Toretto.  Supa Shalala was checked off Dr. Toretto on the home turn.

Meehan Phil was vetted following the event after collapsing in the catching pen.  It was reported that the greyhound cramped, no stand down period was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Pollutro the trainer of the greyhound Meehan Phil.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (cramp) Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a satisfactory trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

Supa Shalala was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right triangle muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Bossino.

Keno Bale was slow to begin.  Dr. Luvdisc was checked off Bossino soon after the start.  Tricky Trey crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Iggy Wiggy, Tricky Trey and Lektra Damage.  Bossino and Keno Bale collided on the first turn checking Keno Bale.  Tricky Trey was checked off Keno Bale approaching the home turn.  My Names Rhonda and Mandela Sun collided several times in the home straight checking both greyhounds.  Bossino, My Names Rhonda and Mandela Sun collided approaching the winning post.

Meeting comments:-

Kennels closed 11 minutes late due to the late arrival on course of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon.

Satisfactory trial results (blinkers off):-

Sneak Preview trialled over 400 metres from box 6, weight 29.5kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 23.41 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of.5 length.  Sneak Preview was cleared.
