Steward's Report

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Rare Gem and no illness was detected.  The greyhound was a late scratching at 3.45pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. K. Brew was fined the sum of $100.

Chilling Story was a late scratching at 3.20pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Ms. T. Womann was fined the sum of $100.

Love To Dream and Violets Are Red were quick to begin.  Dr. Noely lost ground soon after the start and tailed off.  Love To Dream faltered approaching the first turn, lost ground and tailed off.  Gypsy Kiowa was checked off Hurricane Craig entering the home straight.  Hurricane Craig and Gypsy Kiowa collided in the home straight.

Love To Dream was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right back muscle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Dr. Noely was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.  Representative Mr. A. Simmons declined his option to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Simmons the representative for the greyhound Dr. Noley.  Stewards deemed the performance of Dr. Noely unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71 Stewards directed that Dr. Noely must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.
