Steward's Report
Ms. C. Jackson, trainer of Kamchatka Lenny declared a new weight of 35.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Kamchatka Lenny last raced at 33.9kg.
Pompadory Parker and Temps Lilo was quick to begin. Burrawonga Miss and Kelli Pochette collided soon after the start checking Kelli Pochette. Pompadory Parker, Burrawonga Miss and Temps Lilo collided on the first turn severely checking Playlord and causing Swear Jar to fall. Temps Lilo marred the running of Pompadory Parker in the home straight.
Swear Jar was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left monkey, bisceps, deltoid and thigh muscles and an abrasion to the muzzle, and superficial lacerations to various locations. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
Temps Lilo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the neck and right monkey muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Rowe, the trainer of the greyhound Temps Lilo regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Temps Lilo with marring. Mr. Rowe pleaded guilty to the charge, Temps Lilo was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
