Steward's Report
Saucy Sav was quick to begin. Dee Jakit was slow to begin. You Ziptop was very slow to begin and took no competitive part in the event. Candy Chimes and Wafer Thin collided on the first turn. Wafer Thin checked off Refueled on the first turn. Northern Bowler and Dyna Hannah collided in the home straight.
You Ziptop was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Trainer Mr E.Hamilton declined to have the greyhound revetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. E. Hamilton, the trainer of the greyhound You Ziptop regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged You Ziptop with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Hamilton pleaded guilty to the charge, You Ziptop was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
