Steward's Report
Swift Mandy was a late scratching at 6.44pm 3 October 2018 due to an injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre-race sample was taken from General Missy.
General Missy and Keisha's Boy were slow to begin.
Nimble Lucy, Kukudio and Sopha Gem collided soon after the start. General Missy and Kukudio collided on the first turn. Sopha Gem checked off Nimble Lucy on the first turn. Sopha Gem and General Missy collided approaching the home turn checking Kukudio. Keisha's Boy and Sopha Gem raced wide in the home straight.
Ms N. Meighan requested General Missy be vetted following. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a cervico-thoracic injury and a pelvic injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms N. Meighan the kennel representative of Swift Mandy and informed that the greyhound was vet checked late on the 3 October 2018 and scratched the greyhound due to a tenant injury.
