The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Soda Maxi and no illness was detected.  The greyhound was a late scratching at 1.54pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. C. Fulford was fined the sum of $100.

Crackerjack Man and Tycoran Gold were quick to begin.  Tycoran Gold crossed to the rail soon after the start.  Tycoran Gold eased several times approaching the first turn checking Crackerjack Man.  Tycoran Gold and Wok Djay collided on the first turn checking Work Djay and It's Fresh.  Tycoran Gold eased approaching the second turn severely checking Wok Djay and It's Fresh.  Tycoran Gold was checked off For You Honey approaching the home turn.  Tycoran Gold eased approaching the winning post.

It's Fresh was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.  Trainer Mr. P. Terry declined his option to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Terry the trainer of the greyhound It's Fresh.  Stewards deemed the performance of It's Fresh unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71 Stewards directed that It's Fresh must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Neocleous the trainer of the greyhound Tycoran Gold regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the first turn, approaching the second turn and again approaching the winning post.  Tycoran Gold was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left back muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Tycoran Gold with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury.  Mr. Neocleous pleaded guilty to the charge, Tycoran Gold was found guillty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Bela Natali and Modern Jagger were slow to begin.  Nostalgia, Perfect Empire and Pilot Pete collided approaching the first turn checking Nostalgia, Pilot Pete and Bela Natali.  Nostalgia and Modern Jagger collided in the back straight.  Perfect Empire was checked off Modern Jagger on the second turn,.  Jetyra Buckskin and Pilot Pete collided approaching the home turn checking Jetyra Buckskin.  Bela Natali was checked off Nostalgia approaching the home turn.  Sharon's Gold and Lucky Gypsy collided approaching the winning post.  

Lucky Gypsy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.  After viewing the head on footage of the event Stewards took no further action.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Jarkis, the trainer of Go Go Pipsqueak regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Go Go Pipsqueak last raced 17 May, 2018.  Mr. Jarkis stated that the greyhound is returing to racing following a spell. 

El Tigera, Ballistic Gem, Go Go Pipsqueak and Little Freck were slow to begin.  Tuiaki Dora crossed in soon after the start checking Villy Mac Pizazz.  Go Go Pipsqueak and Little Freck collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Magic Trap and Tuiaki Dora collided on the first turn checking Tuiaki Dora.  Go Go Pipsqueak and Little Freck collided entering the back straight and again in the back straight.  Tuiaki Dora contacted the running rail on the second turn.  Go Go Pipsqueak clipped the heels of El Tigera approaching the home turn.

Lou's Dreams, Scrumble and Queen Of Sprite were slow to begin.  Fiesty Ivy, Five Lights and Lou's Dreams collided on the first turn checking Fiesty Ivy, Lou's Dreams, Five Lights and Queen Of Sprite.  Five Lights was checked off Fiesty Ivy approaching the home turn.  Queen Of Sprite was checked off Lou's Dreams approaching the home turn.

Lou's Dreams was vetted on the request of the trainer.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to a left hind toe, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory trial results (GAR 77A):-

Stewards spoke to Mrs. K. Fogarty the trainer of Zipping Lucky regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Zipping Lucky last raced on 26/02/18.  Mrs. Fogarty stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a seasonal spell and change of kennel.  Pursuant to GAR 77A  Zipping Lucky trialled over 315 metres from box 1, weight 24.2kg the greyhound was placed second in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18:12 secs , the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10.75 lengths.  Zipping Lucky was cleared.

Satisfactory trial results:-

Aeroplane Tippa trialled over 315 metres  from box 8, weight 31.8kg the greyhound was placed first  in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18:12 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 10.75 lengths  .  Aeroplane Tippa was cleared

It's Debatable trialled over 395 metres  from box 1, weight 28.6kg the greyhound was placed fourth  in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22:88 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9.75 lengths. It's Debatable was cleared

Owlette trialled over 395 metres  from box 3, weight 26.5kg the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22:88 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 4.5 lengths.  Owlette was cleared.

Stella View trialled over 395 metres  from box 8, weight 28.9kg the greyhound was placed third in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was  22:88 secs , the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6.75 lengths.   Stella View was cleared.
