Steward's Report
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Catcha Nugget engaged in this event on 19 August 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Schembri, the trainer of Bye Bye Brad regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Bye Bye Brad last raced on 3 May 2018 and is returning to racing following a spell. Mr Schembri also declared a new weight of 34.2 Kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR39(2). Bye Bye Brad last raced at 35.3kgs.
Mr J. Formosa, trainer of Seeka Moment declared a new weight of 32.3kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Seeka Moment last raced at 30.8kgs.
Zade's Magic, Jamie Marie and Bye Bye Brad were quick to begin. Catcha Nugget and Spectator were slow to begin. Catcha Nugget was checked off Minutes approaching the first turn. Bye Bye Brad and General Missy collided on the first turn severely checking General Missy.
Bye Bye Brad was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a split nail on a right hind toe, no stand down period was imposed.
