Nicmac Paddywack and Ace Allen collided soon after the start. Nigel Allen, Nicmac Paddywack and Ace Allen collided soon after the start. Miss Jacky and Aston It Is collided soon after the start. Lena Lake checked off Nicmac Paddywack on the second turn. Miss Jacky and Lena Lake collided on the second turn. Lena Lake visibly eased and lost ground on the second turn. Nigel Allen and Nicmac Paddywack collided on the home turn.
Lena Lake underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 12. Lena Lake was found to have a left triangle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. M. Johnson, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the second turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Lena Lake was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Johnson pleaded guilty to the charge, Lena Lake must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
