Steward's Report
Keithy Bale, Gotta Place and Showboat Capers collided soon after the start. Rapid Express and Gotta Place collided approaching the first turn checking Mr. Milford. Rapid Express and Gotta Place collided approaching the home turn checking Rapid Express. Fletcher Jay raced wide in the home straight.
Rapid Express underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was then re-examined following race 3. Rapid Express was found to have bruising to the right foreleg. A 5 stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Gary Edwards trainer of the greyhound Rapid Express, and acting under GAR 75 instructed Mr Edwards to report to the Stewards as soon as practicable anything that might have affected the running of the greyhound in this event which was not noted by the Stewards during or immediately after the event.
Supplementary Report 31.05.2019:
Pursuant to GAR 75 Mr Gary Edwards reported to the Stewards that upon further examination the greyhound Rapid Express showed no further injury.
