Steward's Report
Zipping Norton and Spearhead were slow to begin.
Spearhead crossed to the rail soon after the start. Courting and Street Outlaw collided approaching the first turn. Western Envoy and Zipping Norton collided on the first turn. Courting and Street Outlaw collided on the first turn checking Courting and severely checking Street Outlaw and Spearhead, causing Street Outlaw to stumble and Spearhead to race wide as a result. Zipping Norton and Max Tractor collided on the second turn checking Max Tractor. Zipping Norton and Courting collided entering the back straight checking Zipping Norton, Courting and Max Tractor.
Street Outlaw underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Showgirl Queen - winner of the event.
