Steward's Report

Weeona Pete and Lucky Millie were slow to begin.

Back Burn crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Weeona Pete which stumbled and causing Lucky Millie to fall.  Summer Girl, Mahi Indian and Sisco Bella collided soon after the start checking Mahi Indian.  Summer Girl and Mahi Indian collided approaching the first turn.  Weeona Pete checked off Sisco Bella on the first turn.  Summer Girl and Sisco Bella collided on the second turn and again entering the back straight.  Mahi Indian and Weeona Pete collided on the third turn and approaching the home turn checking Sisco Bella and severely checking Weeona Pete which contacted the running rail and lost ground.  Summer Girl and Weeona Pete collided on the home turn.  

Lucky Millie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left toe injury, left wrist sprain, left and right deltoids injuries. A14 day stand down period was imposed.

Weeona Pete underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.

A post-race sample was taken from Aston Valetta - winner of the event.
