Kurtis Pandora – Not raced for in excess of three months and is returning to racing following surgery.

Pyrenees Daisy was quick to begin.  Mortadella was slow to begin. 

Calico Gal, Soda Ezy and Believe In You collided soon after the start, checking Calico Gal and Soda Ezy.  Calico Gal and Kendra Vegas collided on the first turn, checking Kendra Vegas.  Mortadella galloped on the heels of Soda Ezy approaching the home turn, checking Mortadella and Soda Ezy.

The semaphore board inadvertantly displayed Race one instead of Race two for this event.

Crackerjack Yapa underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.

Stewards spoke to Ms Tammy Kennedy-Harris, the representative of Crackerjack Yapa regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Crackerjack Yapa was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Ms Kennedy-Harris pleaded guilty to the charge, Crackerjack Yapa is suspended for three months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Sedaka, You Rippa Pippa and Half A Minya collided on the first turn, checking Sedaka.  Half A Minya clipped the heels of Amigo Two approaching the home turn, checking Amigo Two and severely checking Half A Minya.  You Rippa Pippa and Amigo Two collided approaching the winning post.

Half A Minya underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg back muscle injury.  A 10 stand down period was imposed.

Barry Bomber, You Aussie and Through collided soon after the start, checking Barry Bomber and You Aussie.  Foxzami Muzza and Dyna Yella collided soon after the start, checking Dyna Yella.  Dyna Yella faltered and pulled up, approaching the first turn.  My Word Shirley, Cyril Figgis and Through collided approaching the first turn, checking Through.  My Word Shirley and Cyril Figgis collided on the first turn, checking Cyril Figgis.

Dyna Yella underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg calf injury.  A 14 stand down period was imposed.  Stewards conferred with the On Track Veterinarian who confirmed that Dyna Yella's racing action was consistent with the injury detected.  As a result, Stewards took no action against Dyna Yella's racing manners.

Aston Joyner underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg monkey muscle injury.  A 21 stand down period was imposed. 

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track in the vicinity of the home turn and deemed the surface suitable for racing.

Mr Worldwide – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to a right hock injury.  Weighing 33.5 kgs and beginning from box one, Mr Worldwide completed the 410m trial distance in a time of 23:70.  Mr Worldwide placed second in a field of four beaten by four lengths.  Mr Worldwide has been cleared to race.

Ranga – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at the Ballarat for marring.  Weighing 36.6 kgs and beginning from box eight, Ranga completed the 410m trial distance in a time of 23:70.  Ranga placed first in a field of four, winning by four lengths.  Ranga has been cleared to race at all tracks except (Ballarat).

Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr G. Gledhill regarding his non-compliance with GRV's Transportation Policy.  Mr Gledhill stated that he was unaware that today's meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected' until he was already en-route to the track.  Stewards accepted Mr Gledhill's explanation.
