A pre-race sample was taken from Little Dynamo.
Tye Me Chopper, Seeka Moment and Little Dynamo collided soon after the start, checking Little Dynamo. Aston Jynx checked off Seeka Moment on the first turn, checking Little Dynamo. Seabrook Indi and Little Red Hot collided approaching the home turn, checking Little Red Hot and Aston Jynx. Tye Me Chopper raced wide entering the home straight.
A post-race sample was taken from Seeka Moment - the winner of the event.
Meeting Comments:
Mr Worldwide – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to a right hock injury. Weighing 33.5 kgs and beginning from box one, Mr Worldwide completed the 410m trial distance in a time of 23:70. Mr Worldwide placed second in a field of four beaten by four lengths. Mr Worldwide has been cleared to race.
Ranga – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at the Ballarat for marring. Weighing 36.6 kgs and beginning from box eight, Ranga completed the 410m trial distance in a time of 23:70. Ranga placed first in a field of four, winning by four lengths. Ranga has been cleared to race at all tracks except (Ballarat).
Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr G. Gledhill regarding his non-compliance with GRV's Transportation Policy. Mr Gledhill stated that he was unaware that today's meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected' until he was already en-route to the track. Stewards accepted Mr Gledhill's explanation.
