Ernesto Bale and Oster Bale were slow to begin. Dyna Yappy and Rock It Fernando collided soon after the start. Lektra Rainbow, Rock It Fernando and Shifting Sands collided soon after the start. Ernesto Bale, Rock It Fernando and Shifting Sands collided on the first turn checking Ernesto Bale, Rock It Fernando, Oster Bale and Dyna Romy, severely checking Shifting Sands. Ernesto Bale galloped on the heels of Lektra Rainbow on the third turn checking both greyhounds. Dyna Romy checked off Ernesto Bale entering the home straight.
Shifting Sands was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
