Steward's Report
Gala Bale – Late scratching at 9.52am when the trainer reported the greyhound to have a pad injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre-race sample was taken from Outlaw Donny.
Shakey Cougar was slow to begin.
Up And About, Hot Finish and Milo Allen collided soon after the start. Outlaw Donny and Dyna Bryleigh collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Dyna Bryleigh, Milo Allen and Hot Finish. Up And About checked off Outlaw Donny approaching the second turn and raced wide severely checking Teraway Train. Shakey Cougar and Dyna Bryleigh collided on the second turn. Dyna Bryleigh marred Shakey Cougar approaching the winning post.
Dyna Bryleigh underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to Mr C. Schlensog, the representative of Dyna Bryleigh regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Dyna Bryleigh was charged with marring. Mr Schlensog pleaded guilty to the charge, Dyna Bryleigh is suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant toGAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
