Steward's Report

Dyna Zaylee underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after becoming loose in the stir up yard and was passed fit to race. 

Living Daylights and Ryben Bill were slow to begin. Ernesto Bale was very slow to begin - 3 lengths.

Dyna Zaylee and Romany Girl collided approaching the second turn checking Living Daylights, Ryben Bill and Dyna Zaylee which faltered and tailed off as a result.

A post-race sample was taken from Perfect Marshall - the winner of the event.

Dyna Zaylee underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 11. Dyna Zaylee was found to have a right carpal sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to the handler of the Dyna Zaylee, Mr A Vella, regarding the incident causing the greyhound to be vetted prior to event and took no further action.

Stewards spoke to the representative of the Dyna Zaylee, Mr C Schlensog regarding the greyhound's performance in todays event. Mr Schlensog submitted the greyhound may have gotten its front toe caught in its muzzle approaching the second turn after suffering a collision. Stewards spoke to MGRA staff member Mr J Nicholls who was situated on the second turn and was of the opinion the greyhound definitely had its front toe caught in its muzzle and loosened itself just after the incident. Stewards requested Mr Schlensog inform the trainer Mrs A Dailly to inform stewards of any other matter that may have affected the performance of Dyna Zaylee in accordance with with GAR 75(2).
