Steward's Report
Dealer Wins was slow to begin. Dealer Wins clipped the heels of Manny Allen soon after the start. Bush Song was checked off Little Samara on the first turn. Manny Allen and Dealer Wins collided on the first turn checking Dealer Wins. Mahjong Magic failed to pursue the lure approaching the home turn. Mahjong Magic and Wadelock Mindy collided on the home turn. Little Samara and Dealer Wins collided on the home turn. Mahjong Magic failed to pursue the lure entering the home straight. Little Samara, Mahjong Magic, Bush Song and Wadelock Mindy raced wide in the home straight. Mahjong Magic and Bush Song collided approaching the winning post.
Mahjong Magic underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have injured left and right shoulder joints. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Harris the handler of Mahjong Magic regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn and entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Mahjong Magic was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Harris pleaded not guilty to the charge, Mahjong Magic was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
