A pre-race sample was taken from Lost Property.
Strike Me Down went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Gladiator was slow to begin.
Jaguar Jessie and Lumen Nation collided soon after the start. Gladiator and Jaguar Jessie collided approaching the first turn. Strike Me Down checked off Jaguar Jessie on the first turn, severely checking Horus Blue and Five Thirty. Jaguar Jessie and Lumen Nation collided on the second turn. Horus Blue and Five Thirty collided on the second turn causing Five Thirty to fall. Lumen Nation checked off Gladiator on the third turn. Strike Me Down checked off Horus Blue on the third turn.
Strike Me Down underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.
Five Thirty underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained injuries to the right fore toe, both deltoid muscles and left sartorius muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
