Steward's Report
Suvla Bay - Late scratching at 1:32pm on Veterinary advice after the greyhound was found to be infected with fleas. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearence, before any future nominations will be accepted.
A pre-race sample was taken from Lochinvar Deus.
Lochinvar Deus was slow to begin.
Premier Sticka crossed to the rails soon after the start, checking Splinter and Detroit Wally. Dyna Cortina and Flying Danger collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Splinter checked off Dyna Cortina entering the back straight. Lochinvar Deus and Splinter collided on the third turn, checking Splinter and Detroit Wally; Detroit Wally stumbled. Lochinvar Deus and Go Ekay collided in the back straight.
Splinter underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind sesamoid injury and an abrasion to the right hind toe. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
