Akina Cosmo checked off Dyna Cortina approaching the home turn. Akina Cosmo and Ledgerwood Libby collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight checking Akina Cosmo, Ledgerwood Libby and Fess Crockett. Trademark Rocky and Fess Crockett collided approaching the winning post.

Trainer Nicole Stanley was questioned regarding the nomination and scratching of Joshy Wink Wink in this event. After considering the explanations provided on the night and material presented subsequently, Stewards accepted Ms. Stanley’s explanation. Whilst acknowledging Joshy Wink Wink was outclassed for this event, Stewards were satisfied that the greyhound was adequately prepared to compete. Ms Stanley further stated that connections intend to nominate Joshy Wink Wink for a similar distance event in the near future.
