Steward's Report
Dyna Unther was quick to begin.
Gala Bale and Gunther Bale collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Come On Pepper pulled up on the back straight. Gala Bale and Haidee Bale collided on the home turn. Looby Sky and Haidee Bale collided entering the home straight.
Haidee Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to both hind paws. A 3 stand down period was imposed. Warning issued regarding the greyhound’s race manner on the home turn.
Come On Pepper underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right carpal sprain and injuries to the left monkey, both pectoral, left gracils and left hamstring muscles. A 21 stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr C Schlensog, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Come On Pepper was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Schlensog pleaded guilty to the charge, Come On Pepper must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
