Chapta Lee was quick to begin. Bob's Hammer, Little Red Hot, Silver Cupcake and Whitehart Magic collided approaching the first turn, checking Little Red Hot and Silver Cupcake. Bob's Hammer and Whitehart Magic collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Chapta Lee, Hammer Red and Pure Cool Titan collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight, checking Hammer Red. Hammer Red and Silver Cupcake collided approaching the winning post.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr David Gehan, in that he failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound Chapta Lee.
