Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Hayley's Style.
Nicmac Paddywack and Hayley's Style were quick to begin. Zipping Bolt and Straitline Willy were slow to begin.
Callum's Son crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Dashing Dino. Callum's Son and Hayley's Style collided on the first turn. Zipping Bolt checked off Water Colour in the front straight checking Dashing Dino. Zipping Bolt crossed out on the second turn checking Straitline Willy. Callum's Son galloped on Nicmac Paddywack on the fourth turn. Hayley's Style failed to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the home turn checking Callum's Son.
Hayley's Style was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle, right deltoid and right chest muscle injuries, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr C. Capuano, the representative of Hayley's Style regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Hayley's Style was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Capuano pleaded guilty to the charge, Hayley's Style is suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
