Steward's Report
Bella Express was a late scratching at 3:46 PM due to a laceration (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre race sample was taken from Pingin' Bee.
Zipping Thurston was quick to begin.
Master Winslow and Pingin' Bee collided soon after the start, checking Master Winslow. Miracles Happen and Stinga's Mate collided approaching the first turn, checking Miracles Happen. Stinga's Mate checked off Stavros on the first turn and collided with Pingin' Bee, checking Master Winslow; Stinga's Mate stumbled as a result and subsequently tailed off. Stavros and You Rippa Pippa collided approaching the home turn, checking Stavros.
Stinga's Mate was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right back muscle and a spike wound to the left hind leg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
