The outside temperature at race start time was 27.9 degrees, the inside kennel temperature immediately prior to the race when the greyhounds were retrieved was 18.8 degrees.
A pre-race sample was taken from Angie.
Stealthy Flight was slow to begin.
Belle Licious and Dreamliner collided soon after the start checking Belle Licious. Angie and National Girl collided approaching the first turn checking Angie which lost considerable ground. Angie, Belle Licious and Stealthy Flight collided on the first turn. Belle Licious clipped the heels of Dreamliner in the home straight.
