Talkback Caller, Dyna Virion and Big Holiday collided soon after the start, checking Dyna Virion. Percy Allen crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Dyna Quark, Lucina Motief, Bronelly Jacob and Dyna Virion. Lucina Motief galloped on the heels of Bronelly Jacob approaching the first turn. Percy Allen and Talkback Caller collided approaching the first turn. Dyna Virion checked off Big Holiday on the first turn. Percy Allen and Big Holiday colided on the home turn, checking Percy Allen. Percy Allen clipped the heels of Big Holiday in the home straight, causing Percy Allen to fall and severely check Bronelly Jacob, Bronelly Jacob to stumbled as a result.
Percy Allen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound had sustained a possible fracture to the left hind leg (femur), a 90 day stand down period was imposed.
