This meeting is deemed ''Hot Weather Affected".

Stewards reviewed the temperature prior to the start of kenneling, the outside temperature was 25.9 degrees and the kennel temperature was 19.7 degrees. As the outside temprature was significantly lower than 32 degrees, Stewards dispensed of the 'Hot Weather' policy, in accordance with section 27.

Dyna Joanie and Orina Allen collided soon after the start. Orina Allen and Dyna Ringo collided soon after the start, checking Orina Allen. Dyna Joanie and Dyna Ringo collided on the first turn. Dyna Zaylee and Catch You Later collided on the home turn, checking Catch You Later. Episode and Orina Allen raced wide in the home straight. Tee Tee and Dyna Joanie collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post, checking Dyna Joanie.

Stewards assessed the racing manners of Tee Tee in the home straight and approaching the winning post, after reviewing the head-on vision and Stewards observations no further action was taken.

Talkback Caller, Dyna Virion and Big Holiday collided soon after the start, checking Dyna Virion. Percy Allen crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Dyna Quark, Lucina Motief, Bronelly Jacob and Dyna Virion. Lucina Motief galloped on the heels of Bronelly Jacob approaching the first turn. Percy Allen and Talkback Caller collided approaching the first turn. Dyna Virion checked off Big Holiday on the first turn. Percy Allen and Big Holiday colided on the home turn, checking Percy Allen. Percy Allen clipped the heels of Big Holiday in the home straight, causing Percy Allen to fall and severely check Bronelly Jacob, Bronelly Jacob to stumbled as a result.

Percy Allen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound had sustained a possible fracture to the left hind leg (femur), a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Bronelly Jacob was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wound .  No stand down period was imposed.

Lucina Motief was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained sartorious muscle injury to both hind legs, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms. J. Spruyt, the trainer of Lucina Motief reqarding the greyhounds performance. Acting upon Ms Spruyts submissions and taking the injury into consideration, no further action was taken.

Stewards spoke to Ms. J. Fothergill, the trainer of Oleg regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Oleg last raced on 14 Sep 18. Ms. Fothergill stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of trainer and a left metacarpal injury. Ms. Fothergill, declared a new weight of 36.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Oleg last raced at 37.7kgs.

Chief Long Face crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Fernando's Riot, Kraken Dust, Lady Freckles and Dyna Bryleigh. Kraken Dust, Dyna Bryleigh and Lady Freckles collided on the first turn, checking Lady Freckles. Oleg checked off Lady Freckles on the first turn.

A sample was taken from Fernando's Riot - winner of the event.

Lady Freckles was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to all four limbs. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms. D. White, the trainer of Lady Frekles regarding the racing frequency of the greyhound.  Ms White stated that she is considering giving the greyhound a spell.

Southwood Ace and Zanthre Allen were slow to begin.

Kraken Spike, Back Burn and Claretown Beau collided approaching the first turn, checking Kraken Spike and Back Burn.  Kraken Spike and Back Burn collided on the first turn checking Kraken Spike. Southwood Ace checked off Back Burn on the first turn.

Zoro Bale was slow to begin.

Gotta Bandit was slow to begin.

Warrion Warrior and Dyna Hinkley collided soon after the start. Warrion Warrior and Dyna Hinkley collided on the home turn, checking Dyna Hinkley. Base Camp failed to pursue the lure on the home turn and collided with My Name's Barry.  My Name's Barry. Base Camp and Gotta Bandit collided in the home straight, checking Base Camp.

Stewards spoke to Mr D Pell, the trainer of the greyhound Base Camp regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.  Base Camp was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both Sartorious muscles, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Base Camp with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Pell pleaded guilty to the charge, Base Camp was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Why Not Kez was slow to begin.

Ringcraft and Princess Parker collided on the home turn, checking Princess Parker.  Blackpool Remi and Jiggy's Luck collided in the home straight, checking Jiggy's Luck.

Why Not Loz was very slow (3L)

Loroupe and Seabrook Indi collided approaching the first turn, checking Loroupe. Calabrese Bullet and Dazzling Melody collided on the first turn, checking Calabrese Bullet. Amigo One checked of Dazzling Melody approaching the home turn. Why Not Loz and Amigo One raced wide in the home straight.

Loroupe was vetted at the trainers request following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn nail on the left hindleg and a spike wound to the left foreleg, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Dazzling Melody was vetted at the trainers request following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained sartorious muscle injury to both hind legs, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Chachi Arcola trialled over the 390 metres from box one, weight 29.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.30, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7L. Chachi Arcola was Cleared.
